Training on Security and Counter-Terrorism Measures
The training focuses on social security, terrorist threats, and all psychological and social aspects that allow participants to optimally apply acquired knowledge in the face of unprecedented forms of aggression, terrorism, and crimes against life and health.
The aim of the course is to familiarize participants with forms of terrorism increasingly common in Europe and worldwide, raise awareness of the scale of the threat, and enhance understanding of the need to adapt to new conditions in society, business, and culture. A key component is presenting optimal behaviors during an attack, ways to avoid assaults, and proper reactions to human, external, and stress-related factors. The program also includes training on prevention, minimizing losses, responding during an incident, and recognizing potential threats in the workplace, while traveling, and in everyday life.
The sessions are conducted by experienced instructors with military backgrounds, veterans of peacekeeping missions worldwide, who continue to actively operate in international security and continuously update their knowledge. The training division operating within the Shooting Center is part of an international group of specialists in security and counter-terrorism, collaborating with European services and the European Parliament.
All lectures are delivered in an interactive multimedia format, using appropriate teaching equipment, including examples of firearms, melee weapons, and other tools used in acts of terrorism, intimidation, or crimes against life, health, and property. Learning to recognize, respond to, and manage crisis situations is based on statistical, sociological, psychological-social, and operational materials, as well as practical behavior techniques.
The main recipients of this training include banks, schools and universities, public service organizations, large associations and sports clubs, offices and institutions serving the public, as well as transport and travel facilities.
Training on Responding to Threats Caused by Weapons of Mass Destruction
The proposed training is primarily aimed at familiarizing participants with the characteristics of threats posed by Weapons of Mass Destruction, in particular the spectrum of CBRNE threats, the principles of employee response in the event of such incidents, as well as methods and techniques for countering these threats. The training is based mainly on the knowledge and many years of experience of the instructor in this specialized field.
The training program includes the following theoretical and practical modules:
- Characteristics of CBRNE threats – chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive/pyrotechnic, including their types, properties, and effects;
- Methods and techniques for ensuring the safety of personnel in contamination scenarios, including protective clothing and personal protective equipment;
- Organization of rescue operations during CBRN incidents;
- Principles of conducting mass decontamination;
- Roles, responsibilities, and competencies of specific services, inspections, emergency units, and relevant institutions.
The training is conducted by a highly qualified team of instructors from the International Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), based in The Hague, the Netherlands, specializing in the elimination of and education on CBRN threats. The instructors are also actively involved in Chemical and Environmental Rescue Coordination within the State Fire Service and possess extensive training and certifications, both domestic and international, in areas including: explosive ordnance recognition, radiometric monitoring and radiological protection, the road transport of hazardous materials, and countermeasures against chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive threats.
